Steve Goddard is a Medical Gas Authorising Engineer, consultant and specialist trainer with extensive experience in healthcare engineering and medical gas pipeline systems. He began his career at Eastwood Park in 1981 as a Demonstrator before working with Puritan Bennett and MEDAES in life-support equipment, patient monitoring and medical gas system design and installation. He later returned to Eastwood Park as a Lecturer and Training Consultant, assuming responsibility for its Authorised Person (MGPS) training provision. In 2003, he founded MGPS Training Ltd, now MGPS Services Ltd, providing specialist training and technical consultancy to healthcare organisations in the United Kingdom and internationally. His professional work includes medical gas project management, system audits, risk assessments, compliance surveys and the development of operational policies. He is an Incorporated Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management.
