The program combines focused theoretical teaching with guided hands-on training. Participants become familiar with the HyFlex EDM OGSF sequence and practise its use with CanalPro Jeni and CanalPro X-Move. The course also addresses effective dental dam isolation, contemporary irrigation principles, obturation with GuttaFlow bioseal and the practical role of HyFlex Remover in the removal of existing root filling material.
The objective is to help clinicians develop a clearer, repeatable protocol that can support more systematic endodontic treatment in everyday practice. The emphasis remains on understanding the complete workflow and the clinical rationale behind each stage, rather than on the isolated use of individual products.
Participants should hold a recognised qualification in dentistry and have a fundamental understanding of endodontic diagnosis, access preparation and root canal treatment. The program is suitable for clinicians who want to consolidate or update their workflow; previous experience with the specific COLTENE systems is not required unless otherwise stated for a particular edition. Because the hands-on format may involve training blocks, extracted teeth or specific personal equipment, participants must review the preparation and equipment instructions issued for the relevant edition. No extracted teeth or clinical materials should be brought unless the Academy has provided explicit handling and infection-control instructions.

The program begins with the diagnostic and procedural foundations of endodontic treatment. Participants review the importance of initial assessment, case planning and the creation of appropriate access to the root canal system. Particular attention is given to effective isolation with a dental dam, which supports visibility, moisture control and a controlled treatment field.
Working-length determination is then placed within the wider preparation workflow. Participants examine how electronic length measurement and mechanical preparation should be coordinated, and how a defined sequence can support a more systematic clinical approach. The HyFlex EDM OGSF protocol is introduced through its Opener, Glider, Shaper and Finisher stages, with emphasis on understanding the purpose and correct position of each instrument within the sequence.
The program demonstrates the practical use of two endodontic motor solutions. CanalPro Jeni incorporates digitally assisted file movement and integrated length measurement, while the cordless CanalPro X-Move supports continuous rotation and reciprocating motion. Participants are guided in the appropriate operation of the systems used in the workshop and in relating motor settings to the selected file protocol and manufacturer instructions.
Canal shaping is connected to the chemical component of treatment through a review of contemporary irrigation principles and the correct sequencing of mechanical and chemical preparation. The obturation component introduces GuttaFlow bioseal as a cold-flowable system combining gutta-percha and sealer, with attention to controlled handling and the clinical steps required for root canal sealing and filling.
The practical component allows participants to apply the workflow under guidance. Training includes the systems listed for the course – HyFlex EDM OGSF, CanalPro Jeni, CanalPro X-Move, HyFlex Remover and GuttaFlow bioseal – while reinforcing isolation, procedural order and safe handling. HyFlex Remover is introduced in the context of removing existing obturation material; comprehensive retreatment strategies remain outside the confirmed scope of this program.
By linking diagnosis, access, measurement, preparation, irrigation and obturation, the masterclass helps participants understand how individual clinical steps combine into a coherent endodontic treatment protocol.
